The event sponsored by Gilgandra Joblink Plus and Gilgandra Youth Club (GYS) joined forces to hold a great day of fun in the sun. The run, which stretched the length of the Windmill Walk, was turned into a course filled with challenges and colorful fun and attracted over 240 participants and lots of bystanders to cheer everyone on. The obstacle course, created by Mel Currey and assisted by Bill Welsh, was a hit with kids, adults, and families alike. There was lots of color in the air with the color fun run, and surges of water to clean everyone off supplied by the fire brigade’s Grant and Dave.

The ice-cream van and sausage sizzle topped the day off, along with hand murals on canvas, which will eventually be hung at Joblink Plus and the youth center. A special mention to TAFE’s Brian Carr, and staff from both organizations (GYS and Joblink Plus). We were also grateful to our helpers Dalton Currey, Adam Currey, Dallas Carr, Tahnee Carr, Lyn Rydges, Annabelle Kenny, Henry Mudford, Declan Katlenbacher, Tracey Stevenson, and Isabell Kalthenbacher for their massive support on the day.
