Apprenticed to Canberra trainer Neil Osborne, Cahill began race riding in 2023 and despite time off after a serious accident last year has now ridden close to 60 winners.

All his winning rides at Orange were outstanding including the double for Neil Osborne on Pauline’s Dream and Travelon Dory.

From an outside barrier in the 1000 metres Angullong Wines Maiden Handicap, Pauline’s Dream ($19) travelled midfield before sprinting to an over two lengths win from Eddy The Greyt (Clayton Gallagher, $2.60) and Nightwalker (Leshelle Small, $9).

Securing an inside run, Travelon Dory ($7.50) held off Wellspring (Jacob Stiff, $5 favourite) by a head with Media Coverage (Damon Budler, $6.50) a close third in the 1000 metres Spanline Benchmark 50 Handicap.

In the saddle on another Canberra galloper in the 1400 metres Pirtek Orange Class 1 Handicap, Glenn Cahill positioned his mount close to the lead and rode a strong finish on the John Rolfe trained Memphis Tennessee ($31 to $17)) to beat Dunwithya (Damon Budler, $6.50) and Macaroon (Amber Riddell, $2 favourite).

On a memorable day for Glenn Cahill, his other winner, the Andrew Bourke, Boorowa-trained Ferrari Man was the result of a great front running ride in the 1600 metres Bank Orange Benchmark 58 Handicap.

Jumping from an outside barrier, Ferrari Man ($12 to $9.50) was taken to an early four lengths lead and after being given a mid race breather, held on to win by almost a length from Boujee Gold (Coriah Keatings, $8.50) and the fast finishing Grafology (Winona Costin, $2.60 favourite).
Ferrari Man has now recorded three wins and a second placing from five starts over the 1600 metres at Orange.

The other winners at Orange were Alideel (Chad Lever, $6) trained at Hawkesbury by Peter Green, the Gary Portelli, Warwick Farm trained Too Hot To Handle (Winona Costin, $2.70) and Sweet Treats (Pierre Boudvillain, $3.80) from the Danielle Seib stable at Canberra.
