Truck crash closes Newell Highway
A driver in his 50s was airlifted to Dubbo hospital in Sunday, July 13, after the truck he was driving crashed on the Newell Highway north of Gilgandra.

Local emergency services and the Toll ambulance helicopter were activated on Sunday morning around 7.30am to the crash site near Biddon Forrest Road. The man was treated for his injuries and the highway was closed in both directions for some time, while the driver was trapped in the vehicle.
He was later airlifted to hospital in a stable condition.
Highway traffic was diverted via Mendooran. Investigations into the accident are ongoing.
