Tooraweenah Golf Club's 40th dinner delight
Tooraweenah Golf Club held their 40 year anniversary dinner on Saturday 10 August.

Tooraweenah Golf Club held their 40 year anniversary dinner on Saturday, August 10 at the Tooraweenah Memorial Hall.
Over 70 people attended the event from around the region and beyond to celebrate the milestone, which is a true achievement for the club.
Dinner and dessert were provided, accompanied by a bar.
An auction was held to raise money for a new tractor, hosted by professional auctioneer Lachlan Mann.
Live music was performed by band Under the Radar; Shane Saffy on bass, Craig Ferguson on drums, Alan Landow as the lead guitarist, and Sam Onorio as lead singer.
In 1984, the Tooraweenah Golf Club was instigated by a group of local people who recognised a growing sentiment in the community for a local golf course.
After land leases were acquired, a nine hole course was plotted out.
150 players came across the easter weekend in April 1984 to test the new course, and over 100 players were present for the official opening in June.
Since its inception, the Tooraweenah Golf Club has believed in “the more the merrier.”
Women and juniors have been allowed on the green to play alongside men, something still not in all clubs today.
The Tooraweenah Golf Club is known to its regulars as a family friendly club, iconic for the social side it prides itself on, from charity days to dress up days and the friendly competition with other regional clubs.
