Wednesday’s social bowls
It was fairly quiet on the bowls scene across this past week.
It seems there were only two players for Wednesday social bowls on December 10 with the card reading Dave defeated Garry, 11-5.
Saturday’s social bowls
Well done Dave! Saturday social on December 13 bowls had 10 starters, but only four finishers.
In the completed game Leroy Gregory and Wenden Riley had a very close win against Michele Doherty and Maxine Elsom with the score being 12-10.
The remaining game saw Ed Wlodarczyk, Stacey Reynolds and Tracey Riley leading Bruce Parker, Dave Jones and Shaun Marchant 12-5 when this game was called to a halt due to the bowlers worrying about a bit of rain and wind.
The winner of the afternoon was decided by the spin of the wheel with Tracey’s team getting the chocolates.
Sunday’s social bowls
Sunday social bowls on December 14 resulted in a win to Lloyd Gwyn, Dave Jones and Norm Lummis who defeated Mike Newstead, Bob Rogers and Baden Fisher.
Christmas/New Year
The 2026 Championships starting with the fours, will commence at the end of January, while Pennants bowls will start in mid-February.
Social bowls will be played as per usual during Christmas and New Year.
