On Friday, May 29, Telstra officially switched on the new tower servicing the Gilgandra township
On Friday, May 29, Telstra officially switched on the new tower servicing the Gilgandra township. Businesses and residents will be relieved to finally be able to properly use their devices in the main areas of the township.
Telstra's regional general manager, Mike Marom, said "residents and local businesses in Gilgandra can now benefit from faster, more reliable mobile connectivity, with Telstra delivering a new mobile site for the town".
"The upgraded site will deliver improved mobile coverage, including both 4G and 5G services, with faster speeds and improved signal strength. The upgrade is part of our ongoing investment in regional connectivity, helping communities like Gilgandra stay connected when it matters most.”
To access the 5G service, you will need a compatible mobile device.
