Gilgandra and District Cancer Fundraisers (GDCF) held a street stall and raffle in the Gilgandra Community Plaza on Friday, August 22, 2025.

GDCF president Wendy Nelson thanked the community for their ongoing support of the annual fundraiser.

“We held a very successful Daffodil Day this year,” said Wendy.

“We couldn’t do what we do without the generosity and support of our community. A big thank you to all the people who came along on the day to help, and volunteer their time - some aren’t members of the GDCF, so that was especially appreciated.”

Daffodil Day’s traditional raffle prize is a quilt made by the late Jenny White.

Wendy said this year, Jenny’s husband John White, drew the raffle.

Funds raised by the GDCF go directly to help local people who are affected by cancer.
