The event transported guests back in time with retro music, a punch bowl, vintage cocktails, and a playful menu inspired by the decade. Attendees enjoyed grazing tables, home-baked slices, and the relaxed ambiance of the verandahs and historic rooms.

Visitors explored a stunning array of local art, including paintings by Judy Shalhoub, coloured glasswork by Joe Shalhoub, Anagama pottery by Geoff Thomas, ceramics by Melissa Kelly, and striking metal sculptures by Rowan Chandler. Many artworks were snapped up across the weekend, with a portion of every sale contributing to the restoration of the church - built to honour World War I soldiers and Gilgandra’s contribution to the war.

Organisers said they were thrilled with the turnout and the generous support.

“It was a really good night, with a great vibe. Everyone enjoyed the atmosphere,” said one of the organisers Julie Sawley from the St Ambrose committee.

Around $2500 will be raised for the restoration fund from the event.

Art lovers left with unique pieces in hand and a sense of pride in supporting a local treasure.
