Warren's Cotton Cup Races this weekend
Get Ready for the Cotton Cup!

If you can't make it any Melbourne Cup day festivities, you haven't missed out on all the fun, fashion and fast horses, with the Warren Jockey once again set to host the district's much-loved Cotton Cup on Sunday, November 8, 2026.
This year's cup is set to be a big one with a marquee luncheon, glamping tents and guest speakers, Kaitie Nash and Jack Cresswell, along with race day classics such as Fashions on the Field.
Guest speaker, Kaitie Nash, who you may know from her hilarious "First Time Farmer" instagram page, said she is looking forward to the day and getting out to meet new people.
“I've never been (to the Cotton Cup) before, and I'm looking forward to meeting new people,” Kaitie said.
“Warren isn't a place that I frequent, so it'll be really nice to meet people from there and the surrounding areas.
“I don't actually go to a lot of horse race events, so it's really cool to be actually going to see the races,” she said.
The Marquee Luncheon is set to be a particular highlight on the day, with a catered lunch and a drink on arrival (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options).
Jack Cresswell, founder of the nations largest farmer-led podcast Farms Advice Podcast, will be the luncheons MC and Kaitie will be the guest speaker.
Kaitie Nash is known for her work as a speaker and ‘farmfluencer’ (farmer/ing influencer) and she often talks about her struggles with moving out into a rural community.
“I hope to talk to people about belonging and about finding your place when life takes you somewhere that you maybe never expected to be,” Kaitie said.
“And that's obviously drawing on my own journey from moving from the city to the farm, but also, you know, the challenges of what it's like to start again, losing a bit of your identity.
“And, I suppose just, learning that belonging isn’t something that you have to earn by proving yourself, but a place you find,” she said.
The Cotton Cup is held annually, and this year will feature six races.
The day will start off with the Cotton Cup (1600 metres) with a prize pool of $50,000.
“If you haven't got your tickets yet, jump on and get them because it's going to be a really big event and yeah, it's going to be fantastic,” Kaitie said.
