Services Club Stop Press, 10-years-ago! (March 31 edition)
Swimming presentation, golf and racing were on the agenda in 2016.
Swimming Club presentations – Caitlin Carlow and Kyle Welsh are named as Club Champions at Gilgandra Swimming Club’s presentation evening. Some of the other award winners were Isaac Frost, Sarah Temple, Alana Elsom, Bradley Kildey, Olivia Ferguson, Emily Skinner, Ashleigh Carlow, Kelsey Hutchison, Olivia McClelland, Ella McAnally-Elwin, Mitchell Gaff, Zoe Welsh and Rebecca Gaff.
Golf – Adam and Clinton Thurlow, Peter and Ayrton Holland win the annual Martin Clift Memorial Ambrose event which attracted a large number of teams to the course. Second placed was the team of Don Milgate, Geoff and David Mills and Andy Harris.
Racing – Spicy Angers salutes at Lightning Ridge winning a benchmark 60 handicap, the win making it three in a row for the horse and trainer Bruce Parker.
