Tooraweenah Show – things got a bit tense when Lester Thurston wins the Men’s Chocolate Cake, relegating Brian Mockler to second place.

Golf – Russell Anderson wins the Gilgandra Golf Club Championship with Lyle Horwood taking out B Grade and Mark Hinchcliffe C Grade. Maree Townsend won the Ladies Championship whilst Stan Doyle was the Veteran’s Champion.

Bowls – Junior bowlers Max Hannelly and Ken Johnson continue their good form in the second round of the Open Pairs Challenge at Club Dubbo, winning one game and despite losing another they remain well in the hunt for some of the prizemoney.
