Red Cross Gilgandra Branch’s end-of-year lunch

A happy group enjoyed lunch at the Royal Hotel on Friday, November 28, when Gilgandra Red Cross members joined with ex-Eumungerie Red Cross members to celebrate the festive season.

The dining tables were set up with lovely tablecloths, serviettes, Christmas trees, decorations and treats, which were very much appreciated. The meal to follow was delicious. President Hilda Newstead and secretary Deirdre Duncan were missed, as unfortunately, they were not able to attend. However, Hilda sent along a platter of homemade biscuits which added the finishing touch to our cup of coffee, following the meal.

An amazing response to our colouring-in competition, to celebrate Trauma Teddy’s 35th birthday, was received.

Fifty-eight entries were collected, therefore judging will take more time, and results will be advised in an upcoming edition of The Gilgandra Weekly.
