Gilgandra PROBUS Club's August Meeting Report

At the recent Gilgandra PROBUS Club meeting, the members heard of a proposed excursion and a concert, inviting members to participate.

As our intended guest speaker was unable to attend, PROBUS member Shirley Marks gave us the early history of the residence next to the court house which was built and owned by Mr Alf Wood. This prompted a discussion about other early residents.

Linda Wykes recited a humorous poem about her old slippers which was presented at her 50th birthday.

We enjoyed meeting in the new room at the Gilgandra Services Club.
