NSW deployment to United States to assist with wildfires
A deployment of NSW services flew to the US last week to help with large wildfires
26 incident management and specialist firefighters from NSW, will be deployed to areas within US, following a formal request from the National Interagency Fire Centre in the US.
The NSW contingent is part of a 74 strong member deployment from across Australia, coordinated through the AFAC National Resource Sharing Centre.
The group will assist in battling more than 72 large wildfires which have already burnt millions of hectares across the United States.
The NSW contingent is made up of:
17 members of the Rural Fire Service (RFS)
