Night work on the Newell Highway at Narrabri

To minimise impacts on motorists, work will be carried out along the 200-metre section over five nights from Sunday, July 5, between 6pm and 6am, Sunday-to-Friday, weather permitting.

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions next week on the Newell Highway for essential maintenance work to be carried out in Narrabri just south of the intersection with the Kamilaroi Highway.

Single lane closures, intermittent stopping and a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h will be in place for the safety of workers and motorists.

The speed limit will remain at 40km/h outside of work hours to maintain safety and will revert to the posted speed limit once work is completed.

Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, follow the direction of signs and traffic control, and allow up to 5 minutes of extra travel time.
