21-Up and 150 Consistency

The draw for these two events will be done this coming weekend. Bowlers still have time to put their names down.

Sunday’s Social Bowls

Sunday social bowls was played with 10 bowlers taking part on October 12.

The winners with the most ends and a win were Bob Rogers, Brent McKenzie, and Danial Riley who defeated Mouse Holland, Baden Fisher, and Norm Lummis, 15-13.

By all reports Bob was the standout player in this match and carried his two teammates to victory.

In the remaining game, the win went to Bruce Parker and Shaun Marchant who defeated Mike Newstead and Jayden Doran, 18-12.

According to the skips Shaun and Jayden, Parkey and Mike had a very good tussle as the leads, while they had no claims to fame at all.

Upgrades to the Greens

The number one, Toni and Norm Kingham green is currently out of order due to the all the turf being removed and the ground being cored.

With plenty of fertiliser and water this green should be back up and rolling by mid-to-late December.

No one at the club can remember the last time work like this has been undertaken on the greens.

Much appreciation goes to the bowlers who helped out in achieving this result.
