The Gilgandra Hospital Activity Group has donated the funds for a new treadmill at the Gilgandra physiotherapy department. The activity group, who meet weekly at the hospital to knit and sell their creations, donated $2900 to purchase the treadmill.

Gilgandra Multi-Purpose Service (MPS) physiotherapist, David Cross, said the new treadmill will be used for his regular exercise classes and for some patients’ treatment. “The previous treadmill, which was over 20 years old, was also purchased by the community, students from the high school year 12 class of that time,” said Mr. Cross.

Members of the Hospital Activity Group were presented last Friday, July 12, when the treadmill was installed along with Mr. Cross and two student physiotherapists from the University of Sydney.
