MPS receives $10k from Community Bank
Community Bank Gilgandra and Central West have donated $10,000 towards a new outdoor space at Gilgandra Multi-Purpose Service

As part of the Community Bank model, local Bendigo Banks provide an ongoing funding opportunities for their communities.
MPS nurse manager, John Alchin, said the hospital has been looking to upgrade their outdoor area and were grateful for the funding from the Community Bank.
“For some time, the MPS has been wanting to hold outdoor activities for our long-term residents in Windmill Cottage,” said John. The new area will be used to accommodate family functions, outdoor activities and other support programs.
“This funding will allow us to gauze in an existing outdoor structure to provide some protection from the elements and give our residents the opportunity to feel the benefits of sunshine and fresh air.”
“We are hoping to start the work in the next month, Spanline has been contracted to the job and aiming to have the project completed by the middle of year.”
John also said they would be looking at further funding sources to complete some other parts of the project.
The funds were presented last week to the MPS team with the Community Bank team stating they were proud to help the MPS provide the new space for residents, helping them provide a more homely environment as opposed to a clinical atmosphere.
