Gilgandra is gearing up for an unforgettable spring weekend, and the soundtrack to this year’s festival just got a whole lot bigger.

Australian supergroup, The Fabulous Caprettos, are heading to the iconic banks of the Castlereagh River for Under the Gums this September and they are bringing a brand-new voice along for the ride!

Joining the supergroup’s stellar lineup is none other than Mark Williams, widely recognised as the unmistakable lead vocalist of the legendary rock band Dragon.

Known for his soulful vocals, magnetic stage presence, and hit-filled career, including solo classics like ‘Show No Mercy’ as well as Dragon’s timeless anthems like ‘Rain’, ‘April Sun in Cuba’, and ‘Are You Old Enough’, Williams brings a rich layer of Aussie rock royalty to an already stacked ensemble.

The Fabulous Caprettos (a nod to the acronym GOAT, or ‘greatest of all time’) feature a powerhouse rotation of Australian music legends.

Alongside Mark Williams, the Under the Gums stage will feature:

Dave Gleeson – the rock icon and energetic frontman of The Screaming Jets and The Angels.

Rai Thistlethwayte – The virtuosic voice and keyboardist behind Thirsty Merc.

Wendy Matthews – The multi-ARIA Award-winning songstress with one of the most distinctive voices in Australian music.

Together on stage, this incredible collective performs a collaborative setlist packed with their biggest individual hits.

Having Mark Williams step into the mix guarantees an elevated, hit-after-hit performance that will have the crowd singing along all night long. Under the Gums is set against the scenic backdrop of the Gilgandra Cultural Precinct, and is the flagship music event of the wider Goin’ to Gil Festival Weekend.
