Gulargambone Rugby Union Presentation Day 2025

The Gulargambone Rugby Union celebrated its annual presentation day in 2025 by attending the Gulargambone Races on Saturday, August 30 and holding its awards presentation prior to with the gallops.

Paige Wilson (ladies Tri Tag) and Dylan Ryan (men’s first grade) were the respective best and fairest award winners for Gulargambone’s two senior outfits.

Gulargambone Rugby Union Club president Benn Jenkin facilitated discussions and helped present awards.

It was a strong season for the Gulargambone Flamin’ Galahs, who were minor premiers in the Ladies Tri Tag competition.

The Greg King-coached side fell agonisingly just short of a premiership, being pipped at the post by Coonamble Rams 15-12 in the 2025 Western Plains Rugby Union Tri Tag grand final at Walgett on Saturday, August 23. Rowan Chandler was King’s assistant coach.

The Gulargambone’s Flamin’ Galahs 2025 award winners were as follows:

Coaches award: Grace Lummis.

Most improved: Caitlynn Mills.

Rookie of the year: Rani Diggs.

Players’ player: Caitlynn Mills.

Best and fairest: Paige Wilson

Best forward: Jess Fleming.

The Justin Harvey-coached men’s first grade side finished in sixth with one win, but put in lots of effort.

Award winners were as follows:

Coaches award: Isaac Grimshaw.

Most improved: Blake Duff.

Rookie of the year: Maverick Hutchison.

Players’ player: Dylan Ryan.

Best and fairest: Dylan Ryan.

Best forward: Jack Bradley.

Club awards:

Club Person of the Year: Makaila Harland.

Supporter of the Year: Brett Lummis.

Doug Irving Award: Aiden Walker.
