Golf club news from April 3 to April 6, 2025.

Veterans

On Thursday, April 3, we had 12 veterans who played a nine-hole stroke. The winner was Gil Riley with a 33 nett. Second place was won by Rob Hay with a 34 nett. Coming in third was Nick White with a 35 nett. Mark Barwick won the nearest the pin. Graeme Holland won the average ball. Gil Riley also won the least amount of putts for his round. 

Last Friday twilight golf held until daylight savings begins again

On Friday, April 4, for the last round of twilight social golf we had 32 players. This was the last Friday night golf until daylight savings begins again. 

Saturday’s Monthly Medal

On Saturday, April 5, 2025 we played the Victory Lap Sports Monthly Medal. We had 24 players contest the 18-hole stroke. The April Monthly Medal Winner is Warwick Cross with a 67 nett. Second place went to Liam Zell on a countback from Rob Hay. Both players had a 68 nett. In fourth place was Ike Morris on a countback from Lyle Horwood, both golfers had a 69 nett. 

Gilgandra Toyota nearest the pin winners were: 2/11 - Russell Anderson; 4/13 - Ike Morris; 7/16 - Matt Zell.

Matchplay result

Ian Ferguson and Rob Hay 2 and 1 defeated Quentin Karaitiana and Dustin Foran. 

Sunday’s Stableford

On Sunday, April 6, we had 21 players contest an 18-hole stableford. The winner was Bill Kirsop with 36 points. John McWhirter came second with 35 points. Michael Wilson came in third with 33 points. 

Gilgandra Toyota nearest the pin was won by Ken Williams. 

Matchplay results

Gil Riley 2 and 1 defeated Quentin Karaitiana. Dylan Wright 4 and 3 defeated Todd Meyers. Andy Harris and John McWhirter 3 and 1 defeated Nick White and Ken Williams.
