Gilgandra Swimming Pool To Open This Weekend
The swimming season is set to kick-off this Saturday, October 3, 2026.
Between October to December, the Pool will be open from:
• Monday – Friday:
o 5:30am to 9am – Lap Swimmers
o 12pm to 6pm – General Public
o 7pm to 9pm – Lap Swimmers
• Saturday – Sunday
o 5:30am to 9am – Lap Swimmers
o 12pm to 6pm – General Public
o 7pm to 9pm – Lap Swimmers
Season passes (tags) are available to purchase via the Service NSW office in Miller Street.

Single Entry as part of school program - $1
Single Entry during summer school holidays program - $2
Season ticket – Single $115
Half Season ticket - Family (as per Medicare card) $220

Gilgandra Recreation Centre Project Update
Planning and design for the Gilgandra Recreation Centre (GRC) within the Hunter Park Precinct is progressing, in close development with the Hunter Park Precinct stakeholder group, including key considerations of access to and from Hunter Park, interactions and connections between the different activity areas, user group priorities and operational efficiencies.
Construction is expected to commence in 2027, with the existing facility expected to close for the 2027/28 swimming season while works takes place.
