Gilgandra Show Junior Judging 2025
Nearly 50 students from Gilgandra High School participated in this year’s Junior Judging.

Held at the Gilgandra showground on Thursday, May 8, the students judged fleeces, meat sheep, merinos, and cattle.
The students were instructed in merino judging by Angus Beveridge from Wyuna Merino Stud, who also supplied the merino sheep from his stud.
In the meat sheep category, the instructors were Cherie (and helper Hugo) Pagan from Cooinda Border Leicester Stud, and Paul Alchin from Christie and Hood, with supplied animals from Cooinda and Gilgandra Show president Alan Smith.
Fleece judge instructors were Andrew Mills from Macdonald and Co. Woolbrokers in Dubbo, and Anita Vernon from White Suffolk Stud. Cattle instructor was Melissa Armstrong with animals supplied by David Neeves.
