For many of the younger players, it was their first taste of playing on the main oval!

Under 10s Rugby League

The U10s took on a skilful Walgett side and gave a gutsy performance. Ricky Bennett was a standout, powering through both games with determined runs that the Dragons just couldn’t stop.

Wiriana Marshall led by example in defence, leaving Walgett players feeling it on Sunday with some bone-rattling tackles.

George Taylor put in a solid effort with strong carries and perfect tackling stats, while Samuel Lawrence’s improvement over the past three games was on full display as he popped up all over the field.

Jayden Sutherland, James Riley, and Levi Burrell also impressed with their hustle and energy. Toby Bonham and Eddie Woodrow are growing in confidence each week.

Lachie Thomas, Liam Cosier, and Ryle Walker put in full-hearted efforts, while Jaxen Altus was another standout - charging hard and breaking through tackles like a pro.

Under 12s Rugby League

Both U12 sides showed real grit, especially in defence, with noticeable improvement across the board.

Gil White’s Panther of the Week went to Laycee Hazelton, while Layla Walker took the honours for Gil Brown. Solid games all around from the teams.

Under Eights Rugby League

The under eights continued their strong form, winning both their games. Panther of the Week honours went to Tiggy Dixon, who had another stellar outing.

Netball News

On the netball courts, the U10s faced a tough Dubbo team and went down 21–1, but spirits remained high. Frankie Medd was named Panther of the Week for her efforts.

Coaches are planning to sharpen up the squad with some speed and defence drills during training this week.

The U12s had a thriller of a game against St Swifts, edging out a 17–16 win in a game that had everyone on the edge of their seats.

Training continues Thursday as usual, before the footy teams hit the road for Dunedoo next weekend. Go Panthers!
