Gilgandra Junior Rugby League and Netball 2025 Presentation

The 2025 season wrapped up in style with the Gilgandra Junior Rugby League and Netball Club holding its annual presentation day at the Gilgandra Services Club on Thursday, September 25.

Junior Panthers Celebrate Strong 2025 Season

Club president Ashley Hazelton reflected on a terrific season across both footy and netball, highlighting the success of the under-14s rugby league side, who took out the grand final, and the under 12 netball team, who battled their way to the preliminary final.

The club also recently held its annual general meeting, with the existing committee returning for another year.

Planning is already underway for an even bigger 2026 season - keep an eye out for registration/opening dates early in the new year!

Awards in U10s netball included: Best and fairest: Harper Wykes, coaches award: Annabelle Foran, most improved: Caroline Taylor. Their coach was Danni Kirkwood.
The U12s netball side with coaches Lanie Barnes and Chloe Eason.
Awards in U14s rugby league included: Best and fairest Ezekiel Williams, most consistent: Caine Bugmy, most improved: Charlie Whiteman. Their coach was Grahame Bugmy.
The division two netball side with coach Sienna Marchant.
Awards in division two netball included: Most improved: Cardi Howard, coaches award: Pippa Rogers, best and fairest: Skyla Carr. Their coach was Sienna Marchant. Quentin Karaitiana was on hand for all the rugby league and netball awards.
The under sixes rugby league side with coach Bryce Budworth.
Awards in under sixes rugby league included: encouragement award Harden Hutchison, best and fairest: Colt Budworth, coaches award: Joe Barry and most consistent: Ben Larkin. Their coach was Bryce Budworth. Quentin Karaitiana from Gilgandra Services Club was also on hand for the presentations.

Awards in under eights rugby league included: Most consistent: Tiggy Dixon, most improved: William Pagan and best and fairest Billy Larkin. Their coach was Bryan Dixon.
The U10s rugby league side with coach Danial Riley.
Awards in U10s rugby league included: Most consistent: James Riley, coaches award Jaxen Altus, best and fairest: George Taylor. Their coach was Danial Riley.
The U12s rugby league side with coach Richard Howard.
Awards in U12s rugby league included: Most consistent: Laycee Hazelton and Tiaki Diamond, most improved Layla Walker and Tison Swan-Leone, coaches award Clancy Larkin and Darcy Adams (absent). Their coach was Richard Howard.
Awards in U14s rugby league included: Best and fairest Ezekiel Williams, most consistent: Caine Bugmy, most improved: Charlie Whiteman. Their coach was Grahame Bugmy.
The U16s rugby league side with coach Ash Hazelton.
Awards in U16s rugby league included: Best and fairest: Sailor Ryan, most consistent: Peter Peters, coaches award: Jordan Hazelton and most consistent Jack Gibson. Their coach was Ash Hazelton.
