Veterans
On Thursday, October 6, we had nine starters who played a nine-hole stroke.
The winner was John McWhirter with a 31 1/2 nett. Second place went to Ken Williams with a 32 1/2 nett. Maree Townsend came in third with a 33 nett.
Nearest the pin went to Lex Scotti. Geoff Lummis won the average ball. Least amount of putts went to Maree Townsend.
Saturday’s Stableford
On Saturday (November 8) we played an 18-hole stableford which was sponsored by Stan Doyle. Nineteen golfers played on the day, in windy and fresh weather.
The winner was Lucie Peart with 46 points for her round. Second place went to Lex Scotti with 42 points. Matt Zell came in third with 39 points. Coming in fourth was Ian Ferguson with 38 points. Gilgandra Toyota nearest the pin went to John McWhirter.
Sunday’s Par Event
On Sunday (November 9) we had 17 players who contested an 18-hole par.
The winner was John McWhirter with plus four (+4). Coming in second with a plus two (+2) was Bill Welsh. Third place went to Ken Williams on a countback from Jacob Wilson. Both players had plus one (+1).
Gilgandra Toyota nearest the pin was won by Jacob Wilson.
