Gilgandra Golf Club Results
Result golf club action and results. Don’t forget, there are four days of golf this long weekend.
Veterans
The veterans played a nine-hole stroke on Thursday afternoon (May 29), with 10 golfers taking part. The winner on the day was Nick White with a 28 1/2 nett. Second place went to Rob Hay with a 33 nett. Lex Scotti came in third with a 33 1/2 nett. Mark Barwick won the average ball. Nick White also won the latest number of putts with 11 for his round.
Saturday’s Stableford
On Saturday (May 31) we played an 18-hole stableford with 15 golfers playing which was sponsored by JT Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
The winner was Nick White with 36 points on a countback from Lyle Horwood who had the same score. Ian Ferguson came in third with 35 points. Gilgandra Toyota nearest the pin winners were: 2/11- Ian Ferguson , 4/13 - Jarryd Eason , 7/16 - Stan Doyle.
Saturday Matchplay Results
Ian Ferguson 1-up defeated Nick Wright.
Lyle Horwood 2 and 1 defeated Jarryd Eason.
Sunday’s Stableford
On Sunday, June 1 we had 14 golfers who played an 18-hole stableford which was sponsored by Gilgandra Services Club. Ash Hazleton won the day with 37 points for his game.
Matt Zell came in second on a countback from Marty Cross, both golfers had 36 points.

Sunday Matchplay Results
