Gilgandra Golf Club Report - May 28-31, 2026
Welcome rain forced the cancellation of Veterans golf last week.
No veterans golf was were played on Thursday afternoon because of the inclement weather.
On Saturday we had 20 golfers who played in an 18-hole stableford which was sponsored by GK & LH Rohr.
The winner was Gil Riley with 35 points on a countback from Peter Barnes who came second with the same score.
Warwick Cross came third on a countback from Bob Dwyer both players had 34 points. Gilgandra Toyota nearest the pin was won by John McWhirter .
Matchplay results for Saturday: John McWhirter 4 and 3 defeated Todd Meyers. Ike Morris 2 and 1 defeated Dean Ferguson.
Sunday we play an 18-hole Par with 20 golfers taking part. The winner was Adam Hazleton with plus two. Dustin Foran came in second on a countback from Dean Ferguson both players had an even par round. Mark Ferguson came in fourth with minus two.
Gilgandra Toyota nearest the pin went to Nick Wright.
Sunday Matchplay results: Quentin Karaitiana and Dean Foran one up, defeated Dean Ferguson and Michael Kaltenbacher.
Warwick Cross 3 and 2 defeated Dylan Wright. Nick Wright 3 and 1 defeated Ike Morris.
