Matt Zell and Tony Wilson were the weekend winners at Gilgandra Golf Club

Veterans
We had 12 veterans who played a nine-hole stroke on Thursday afternoon, February 26. The winner was Mark Barwick with a 32 1/2 nett.
Second place was won by Andy Harris with 33 nett on a countback from Bob Dwyer who had the same score.
Nearest the pin went to Ken Williams. Ken also won the average ball. Latest number of putts went to Mark Barwick with eight putts for his round.
Weekend Events
On Saturday (February 28) we had a fantastic field of 27 golfers who played in an 18-hole stableford.
The winner was Matt Zell with 39 points. Stan Doyle came in second with 38 points. Third place went to Tony Wilson with 36 points. Ian Ferguson came fourth with 35 points on a countback from Lyle Horwood who had the same score.
Gilgandra Toyota nearest the pin was won by Ash Hazleton.
Match Play result: Andy Harris (2-up) defeated Quentin Karaitiana.
On Sunday (March 1) we played an 18-hole stableford. Thirteen golfers contested.
The winner was Tony Wilson with 40 points. Second place went to Jim Zell with 39 points. Matt Zell came in third with 38 points.
Gilgandra Toyota nearest the pin was won by Rob Hay.
