Veterans
We had eight veterans on Thursday afternoon (July 10) play a nine-hole stroke. The winner was Lex Scotti with 35 nett. Second place went to Geoff Lummis with a 34 nett.
Third place went to Rob Hay with a 34 1/2 nett.
Nearest the pin went to Bob Dwyer. Bob also won the average ball.
Least amount of putts went to Rob Hay who had 11 putts for his round.
Saturday’s Stroke
On Saturday, July 12, we played the John Barwick Memorial.
It was an 18-hole stroke.
We had a really good field of 23 golfers.
The winner was Russell Anderson with 67 nett.
Liam Zell came in second with the same score. Ike Morris came third with 68 nett.
Rob Hay and John McWhirter both had 69 nett. Nearest the pin winners on Saturday were:
2/11 - Aiden Hinchcliffe.
4/13 - John McWhirter.
7/16 - Quentin Karaitiana.
Matchplay result: Marty and Warwick Cross defeated Andy Harris and John McWhirter two-up.
Sunday’s Stableford
On Sunday, July 13 we had 12 golfers play an 18-hole stableford.
The winner on the day was Mark Ferguson with 37 points. Second place went to Geoff Lummis with 36 points.
Gilgandra Toyota nearest the pin went to Graeme Holland.
Quentin Karaitiana got an eagle on the third hole.
