Veterans
On Thursday, June 19 we had 10 veteran golfers play a nine-hole stroke. The winner was Bob Dwyer with a nett 34. Maree Townsend came in second on a countback from Nick White and Mark Barwick.
The three golfers all had 35 nett. Nick White won the nearest the pin. Lex Scotti won the average ball. Bob Dwyer won the least amount of putts with 14 for his round.
Saturday’s Stableford
On Saturday, June 21, the golfers played a 18-hole stableford which was sponsored by Meyers Motor Clinic, we had 23 players on the day.
Don Milgate came in first with 39 points. Ian Ferguson came second on a countback from Quentin Karaitiana, both players had 37 points.
Russell Anderson and Mark Barwick both had 35 points to come in fourth and fifth. Last place went to Ed Wlodarczyk as he had 23 points for his round.
Nearest the pin winners: 2/11 - Jarryd Eason; 4/13 - Bill Welsh; and 7/16 - Bill Welsh.
Sunday’s Par
On Sunday, june 22, we had a field of 18 golfers who played a 18-hole par event. The winner was Dustin Foran with plus three.
Second place went to Jarryd Eason with plus two. Matt Everett came in third with minus one. Ash Hazleton came fourth with minus two from four other players who had the same score. Gilgandra Toyota nearest the pin was won by Rob Hay.
