Rob Wright won the 2026 Weenya Cattle Walk at Gilgandra Golf CLub over the weekend

Veterans
On Thursday, July 23, we had a great field of 14 Veterans who played in a nine-hole Stroke event.
The winner was Lex Scotti with a nett 30.
Second place went to Peter Barnes with a nett 31 1/2.
Bill Kirsop came third on a countback from Ed Wlodarczyk and Geoff Lummis. All three golfers had a nett 32 1/2.
Mark Barwick won the average ball.
Least number of putts was won by Peter Barnes with 11 for his round.
Weekend Golf
On Saturday, July 25, we played the Weenya Cattle Walk which is a mix up of all the holes. It is sponsored by Ian Lambell. We had 18 players on the day.
The winner was Rob Wright with a nett 66.
E Wlodarczyk came in second with a nett 67.
Ian Ferguson came in third with a nett 68.
Nearest the pin winners were Ian Ferguson and Mark Ferguson.
We played an 18-hole Stableford on Sunday, July 26, which was sponsored by Gilgandra Services Club. We had 13 players on the day.
The winner was Marty Cross with 40 points.
Matt Zell came in second on a countback from Lex Scotti. Both players had 37 points.
Marty Cross won the Gilgandra Toyota nearest the pin.
