Gilgandra Golf Club news
It was another action-packed week of fun on the fairways at Gilgandra Golf Club.

Veterans
We had 10 veterans at the Gilgandra Golf Club on Thursday, April, 16 contest a nine-hole Stroke.
The winner was Gil Riley with a 30 1/2 nett. Second place went to Rob Hay with 31 1/2 nett. Bob Dwyer came in third with a 32 1/2 nett.
Andy Harris won both the nearest the pin and the average ball. Least amount of putts went to Bob Dwyer with 10 for his round.
Weekend Golf
On Saturday, April 18 we played a new event which was a 4BBB Shamble which was sponsored by Russell Anderson.
We had 12 teams on the day, which equates to 24 golfers. The winning team was Craig Mears and Jim Zell with 53 points.
Second place went to Rob Hay and Geoff Lummis with 49 points. Matt Zell and Ash Hazleton came in third with 47 points.
Gilgandra Toyota nearest the pin winners were: 2/11 - Jim Zell; 4/13 - Ash Hazleton; and 7/16 - Rob Hay.
On Sunday, April 19, we played an 18-hole Par, sponsored by Australia Post.
We had a great field of 23 golfers who took part on the day. The winner was Rob Hay with plus six (+6). Second place was won by Isaac Grimshaw with plus one (+1). Third place went to Russell Anderson with an even-par round. Fourth place went to Lex Scotti on a countback from Dean Ferguson and Ike Morris. All three golfers had minus three (-3).
Gilgandra Toyota nearest the pin went to Ike Morris.
Matchplay results: Lex Scotti and Mark Barwick, 2 and 1, defeated Ian Lambell and Nick White.
Dean Ferguson and Mick Kaltenbacher, 2-up, defeated Marty and Warwick Cross.
