Veterans
On Thursday afternoon (April 9) we had 10 veterans contest a nine-hole stroke.
The winner was Andy Harris with 33 1/2 nett.
Second place went to Ed Wlodarczyk with 35 nett.
Maree Townsend came in third with 35 1/5 nett.
Maree also won the nearest the pin.
Mark Barwick won the average ball.
Andy Harris won the least amount of putts with 11 for his round.
Weekend Golf
We played an 18-hole Stableford on Saturday (April 10) with a great field of 23 golfers taking part.
The winner was Peter Fisk with 39 points.
Second place went to Dean Ferguson with 37 points.
Third place went to Mick Wilson with 36 points.
Jim Zell came in fourth with 35 points.
Maree Townsend came fifth with 34 points on a countback from Russell Anderson, Tiger Pearce and Nick White who had the same score.
Gilgandra Toyota nearest the pin was won by Peter Fisk.
Matchplay results for Saturday:
Tiger Pearce 4 and 2 defeated Ian Ferguson.
Dean Ferguson 1-up defeated Russell Anderson.
John McWhirter 2-up defeated Andy Harris.
Sunday (April 12) we played an 18-hole Stableford, with 18 golfers playing on the day.
The winner was Nick White with 38 points.
Warwick Cross came in second with 36 points.
Nick Wright came third with 33 points.
Dean Ferguson came fourth on a countback from Dustin Foran, both players had 32 points.
Gilgandra Toyota nearest the pin went to Russell Anderson.
Sunday Matchplay Results:
Quentin Karaitiana and Dustin Foran 1-up defeated Rob Hay and Ian Ferguson. Warwick Cross 3 and 1 defeated Marty Cross.
