Gilgandra Golf Club News - February 1, 2026
It was another busy week on the fairways at Gilgandra Golf Club, as Geoff Lummis reports.

Veterans
On Thursday, January 29, we had a small field of eight golfers who played in extremely hot weather.
The winner was Mark Barwick with a 33 nett. Andy Harris came in second with 34 nett. Nick White came third on a countback from Geoff Lummis and Lex Scotti. The three golfers had a 36 nett. Ken Williams won the nearest the pin. Average ball went to Geoff Lummis. Nick White won the least amount of putts on a countback from Andy Harris.
Weekend Golf
On Saturday, January 31, we played an 18-hole Stableford with 16 golfers again playing in very hot weather.
The winner was Jim Zell with 39 points. Coming in second on a countback was Jacob Wilson from Bill Welsh both players had 36 points. Gilgandra Toyota nearest the pin was won by Russell Anderson.
On Sunday, February 1, we played an 18-hole Par with 11 golfers playing on the day.
The winner was Jacob Wilson with plus four (+4). Coming in second was Lyle Horwood with plus one (+1). The Gilgandra Toyota nearest the pin went to Rob Hay.
