Recent Gilgandra golf club news from October 23, 25 and 26.
Veterans
The veterans played a nine-hole stroke on Thursday, October 23, with 10 players competing.
The winner was Mark Barwick on a countback from Ed Wlodarczyk, both players had a nett 31.
Third place went to Lex Scotti with a nett 31 1/2. Mark also won the nearest the pin.
Maree Townsend won the average ball.
Least amount of putts went to Lex Scotti with 11 putts for his round.
Saturday’s Stableford
On Saturday, October 25, we played an 18-hole stableford with 22 golfers playing on the day. The winner was Quentin Karaitiana on a countback from Mark Barwick and Bill Welsh, the three golfers all had 38 points. Lex Scotti came in fourth with 37 points.
Gilgandra Toyota nearest the pin was won by Nick Wright.
Sunday’s Par Event
On Sunday, October 26, we had 12 golfers who played an 18 hole Par.
The winner was Mark Barwick with plus one (+1).
Matt Zell came in second with an even score for his round on a countback from Bill Welsh who had the same score.
Gilgandra Toyota nearest the pin went to Mark Temple.
