Recent golf club news from the July 1 2025 edition of The Gilgandra Weekly.
Veterans
On Thursday, June 26, Rob Hay came in first on a countback from Ken Williams and Jim L’Homme the 3 golfers all had a nett 33 1/2.
Nick White won the nearest the pin.
The average ball went to Lex Scotti.
Rob Hay won the least amount of putts.
Saturday’s Stableford
On Saturday, June 28 we played a 4BBB stableford. we had 14 teams on the day.
It was an interesting day as we played six holes of stableford, six holes of aggregate, and six holes of the multiplier format.
The winning team were Geoff Lummis and Rob Hay with a score of 64 points.
Matt and Liam Zell came in second with 58 points.
In third place was Gil Riley and Ken Williams with 56 points.
Gilgandra Toyota nearest the pin winners were:
2/11 - Todd Meyers.
4/13 - Ian Ferguson.
7/16 - Liam Zell.
Matchplay result: Ike Morris 4 and 3 defeated Ian Ferguson.
Sunday’s Stableford
On Sunday, June 29, we had 13 golfers who played an 18-hole stableford which was sponsored by Gilgandra Services Club.
First place went to Bob Dwyer on a countback from Rob Hay both golfers had 38 points.
Nearest the pin winners were Rob Hay on 2/11 and 4/13. Lex Scotti on 7/16.
