Veterans
On Thursday, May 8, the veterans played a nine-hole stroke. The winner on the day was Lex Scotti with a 331/2 nett. Rob Hay came in second with a 341/2 nett. With a score of 35 nett Geoff Lummis came in third.
Bill Kirsop won the average ball, plus he also won the nearest the pin. Lex Scotti won the least amount of putts from Geoff Lummis and Rob Hay, all three golfers had 12 putts for their round.
Coaching Clinic
Only a small number of people (due to the clash with the show), and a couple of young children, attended the clinic with Garry Begg (PGA).
Saturday’s Stableford
On Saturday (May 10) we played an 18-hole stableford. The winner was Warwick Cross with 37 points.
Ian Ferguson came in second with 36 points. With 34 points Mark Barwick came third.
Matchplay results: Warwick Cross 4 and 3 defeated Ken Williams.
Sunday’s 18-hole Par
On Sunday, May 11, we played an 18-hole par. The winner was Maree Townsend with minus one (-1).
Coming in second was Rob Wright on a countback from Ash Hazleton and Rob Hay, all three golfers had minus two (-2) .
