The Gilgandra Garden Club held their annual general meeting on Friday, March 7, 2025 at the home of Sandra Lawford.

Outgoing president Sandra Lawford presented her annual report highlighting events held during the 2024 year.

Marion Schulz re-elected as secretary, serving her sixth term, and Christine Horan elected as treasurer.
A presentation was made to Jeanette Cruickshank who had served as treasurer for 10 years plus.
Since the annual meeting, the club have held two other meetings. The April meeting at the home of Bev Rogers and the May meeting at the home of Elaine Gilmour.
At the May meeting, members of the Dubbo Tai Chi practising group attended to give a demonstration on their Tai Chi skills. The members joined the garden club for lunch and a great day was had by all. Garden club member Helen Murray, was one again steward for the Gilgandra Show’s flower section, and as usual performed this role with skill and knowledge in arranging the flower entries. Members of the club assisted Helen in this role.
If you are a passionate gardener or even a newbie to gardening the GIlgandra Garden Club meets monthly in the gardens of members throughout the year, so we get to enjoy the fruits of labour of our garden club members.
The Geoff Rohr Rose Garden in Miller Street is also maintained by club members and a working bee is conducted following the club’s monthly meeting, to keep the roses looking their best. New members are always welcome.
