It's all about fitness and fun, as Gilgandra gets going - literally.

The 'Have a Crack Challenge' got underway last week with the touch football competition, with over 30 people registering for the initiative.

Activities held throughout the challenge will include touch football, netball, lawn bowls, Windmill Walk, Talk and Run Club (sessions in Gilgandra, Armatree, Tooraweenah), A Boot Camp, and Yoga at the Pool. Community members can also register and participate in their own ways.

The health and wellbeing initiative is designed to boost physical activity, social connection, and health literacy during February and March - while providing ongoing benefits.

Health checks are provided as part of some of the organised events. There is also a free pedometer promotion and step count sheet that’s included with the registration documentation.
