Gil represented in NSW Rugby League S G Ball competition - twice!
Two young Gilgandra born lads played against each other in the NSW Rugby League S G Ball competition last weekend.
Two young talented Gilgandra rugby league players had a bit of a catch up over the weekend, that being when they played against each other in the New South Wales Rugby League S G Ball competition.
The S G Ball comp is for talented under 19 players and is considered a very big stepping stone towards possibly playing in the NRL down the track.
Anyway, back to the catch up!
That catchup featured the two well-known Gil lads Kapene Kariatiana and Corey Kaltenbacher, with Kapene playing for the Illawarra Steelers and Corey the Manly Sea Eagles.
It was bragging rights to Corey in terms of the final score, that being 26-10 in favour of the Sparrows, but Kapene had some bragging rights himself, scoring a meat pie for the Steelers.
These are two great young blokes doing their families and Gilgandra proud!
