Veterans
On Thursday, September 4, we had 12 veterans who played a nine-hole stroke event. The winner on the day was club captain Geoff Lummis with a 32 1/2 nett.
Second was won by Mark Barwick with 33 nett. Lex Scotti came in third on a countback from John McWhirter both players had 33 1/2 nett.
Ed Wlodarczyk won the nearest the pin and he also won the average ball. Lex Scotti won the least amount of putts from Geoff Lummis and Jim L’Homme all three golfers had 12 putts for their round.
Saturday’s Monthly Medal
On Saturday, September 6, we played the Victory Lap Sports Monthly Medal which is a 18-hole Stroke. We had 25 players on the day.
The September Monthly Medallist was Geoff Lummis with 65 nett. Second place went to Todd Meyers with 66 nett. Mark Barwick came in third from Lex Scotti and Warwick, the three players had 67 nett. Nearest the pin winners were Andy Harris (2/11), John McWhirter (4/13) and Ian Ferguson (7/16).
Matchplay Result Four-ball-best-ball (4BBB) Final: Todd Meyers and Stan Doyle (1-up) defeated Marty and Warwick Cross.
Sunday’s Stableford
On Sunday, September 7, we had 14 players who played in a stableford. The winner was Maree Townsend with 37 points.
Geoff Lummis came in second with 36 points. Matt Zell came third with 35 points from Marty Cross who had the same score.
Nearest the pin winners were Lex Scotti (2/11), Matt Zell (4/13), and Geoff Lummis (7/16).
