Federal government funds $14 million Gilgandra Hunter Park Sports Precinct
This $14 million investment is one of 15 new projects supporting transformative investment in regional, rural and remote Australia based on the principles of unifying regional places, growing economies and serving communities.

Senator for NSW, Deborah O’Neill has announced that the Gilgandra Shire Council will receive funding to help deliver the Hunter Park Multi-Purpose Youth and Recreation Precinct in the latest round of the Albanese Government’s $400 million regional Precincts and Partnerships Program (rPPP).
The funding will support the growth and development of Gilgandra by co-locating the Gilgandra youth centre with social support services and recreational facilities into one central location and will co-locate the current youth centre with the local skate park and new facilities.
Precinct partners, Gilgandra Basketball Association, Gilgandra Amateur and Learn to Swim Clubs, and the Gilgandra Tennis Club, will provide input and material support into the design, delivery and future operation of the precinct.
The relocation of the youth service to Gilgandra Hunter Park Precinct will create an accessible location for young people and families offering early intervention, individualised youth-focused support and programs partnering with local support services.
