Collie CWA and Gilgandra Community Op Shop Combine for Fashion Show
COllie CWA hosted a Fashion Show and Trivia Event on Saturday, June 27, 2026.
For the second time in two years, Collie CWA and Gilgandra Community Op Shop held another Fashion Show and Trivia afternoon to raise money for both groups.
The first event having been a smash hit, both Collie CWA and Gilgandra Community Op Shop thought that it would be worthwhile to bring the event back, and they were right.
Modelling the clothes and strutting down the catwalk were Gilgandra Community Op Shop volunteers while Collie CWA members, Amelia Murray and Georgia Briggs hosted the trivia.
Money made through door sales went towards the CWA hall, with the funds raised going into maintaining the space and any restoration needed, while sales from clothing and Bric-à-brac went towards the op shop.
Despite the gloomy weather, spirits were high and president of Collie CWA, Noeleen Herbig, was pleased with the turnout.
“It was such a success last time, and it gets everyone from different communities involved,” Noeleen said.
“There’s people here today from Nevertire, Warren, and Narromine, and we’ve also got op shop supporters, everyone comes to have a fun time and it's just a nice afternoon out,”
“We're pleasantly surprised with the amount of people that came, and very grateful for all the communities that supported us...[we sold] nearly two books of raffle tickets, so we're looking at probably a few hundred dollars from the door sale and the raffle tickets,” said Noeleen.
