Disability and Aged Nursing Services (DANS) opened the doors to their new Gilgandra office on Wednesday, November 27.

Staff from the Dubbo office met with the Gilgandra office to celebrate the opening of DANS Gilgandra.

Morning tea and coffee was prepared for those that attended, including a few customers who came along to celebrate too.

DANS provide aged care and disability support through in-home care and domestic support, hospital support, and assisted living “tailored to suit your individual needs,” states the DANS website.

DANS has been a regional provider for over 20 years, operating out of the Dubbo region assisting people to remain living independently in the comfort of their own homes.

“[DANS] is an aged and disability service provider who pride themselves on personalised support backed by a clinically trained team,” said Briette Parish of DANS.

“In Gilgandra, we are locals supporting locals.”

The decision was made to open a new office in Gilgandra to meet the growing demand for aged care services.

“Our presence [in the area] has increased, and our demand has increased. Gilgandra is now big enough to support its own branch and [and] customers want that face to face contact with their care manager,” said Briette.
