Community consultations for masterplans and strategies - "well attended" says council
Across last week, Gilgandra Shire Council (GSC) held community consultations for their recently released draft masterplans and strategies.

There were three events where local community members could come and engage with council staff and third-party planners/consultants on the three plans out for public exhibition - CBD Masterplan, housing strategy, and the active transport strategy.
A community workshop was held last Tuesday evening (February 3) at The GIL Library Hub, along with a drop-in session earlier in the day, and on Wednesday morning (February 4). Gilgandra Shire Council stated that the sessions were well attended by community members seeking information and/or to provide feedback.
Consultants at the sessions included representatives from Bitzios, Cobalt Engagement, and Place Design Group.
The submission period for written feedback outside the sessions closed on Monday, February 9.
Council have advised that all submissions will be presented to council at the ordinary March meeting.
