Changed traffic conditions on the Castlereagh Highway near Mudgee

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions on the Castlereagh Highway for maintenance work about five kilometres south-east of Mudgee from Monday, March 2.

The routine bridge maintenance work to be carried out at Wallinga Creek Bridge near Rocky Waterhole Road will take up to four weeks to complete, weather permitting.

Working hours will be 6am to 6pm on weekdays with changed traffic conditions in place including lane closures and reduced speed limits of 40 km/h and 80 km/h.

Outside of work hours the speed limit will return to the posted speed of 100 km/h.

Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, follow the directions of signs and traffic control, and allow up to five minutes of extra travel time.
