Busy week for golf club to end November
Along with the week's normal competitions, the Gilgandra Golf held its presentation dinner and annual general meeting last week.
Gilgandra Golf Club held its annual general meeting on Sunday, November 30, 2025 with Ike Morris elected as president. We would like to thank the outgoing committee for their help in running the club this year.
The new committee for the year is:
President: Ike Morris.
Vice-president: Matt Zell.
Secretary: Todd Meyers.
Treasurer: Ian Ferguson.
Captain: Geoff Lummis.
Board Members: Russell Anderson, Stan Doyle, Michael Wilson, Ashley Hazleton, Lucie Wightman, and Nic Wright.
All our fees will stay the same this year.
Competition Results
Veterans played a nine-hole stroke on Thursday, November 27. The winner was Ken Williams with a 271/2 nett. Geoff Lummis came in second with 311/2 nett. Coming in third with a 32 nett was Andy Harris. Rob Hay won the average ball. Ken Williams won the putting with 11 putts for his round.
On Saturday (November 29) we played an 18-hole stableford with 20 golfers playing on the day. Don Milgate and Tiger Pearce sponsored the day.
The winner was Bill Welsh with 37 points. Graeme Holland came in second on a countback from Ash Hazleton, both players had 36 points. Quentin Karaitiana came fourth with 35 points. Gilgandra Toyota nearest the pin went to Mark Barwick.
On Sunday (November 30), we had 11 players contest an 18-hole par.
The winner was Dean Ferguson with Plus Four (+4). Geoff Lummis came in second with Plus Three (+3). Gilgandra Toyota nearest the pin was won by Dean Ferguson.
