The winners were Mal Altmann, Bob Rogers and Danial Riley who defeated Dave Jones, Jayden Doran and Graham (visitor).
Championships Action
A few more games of championships were completed during the past week. In the 21-Up Andrew Townsend had a very close win against Michele Doherty, 23-20. Brent McKenzie defeated Christine Howchin, 21-7.
Rod Howchin had a crook right arm and in not wanting to forfeit, offered to play Dylan Marchant with both bowlers to play left handed. Being the obliging young fella Dylan is, he agreed, so both right-handed bowlers played left-handed.
This change didn’t affect Dylan whatsoever as he had a comfortable 21-7 victory.
150 Consistency
In the 150 Consistency Tracey Riley defeated Kayleb Dolan 153-99. Shayne (Shoey) Barwick gained the win over Ed Wlodarczyk, 153-137.
Brent McKenzie had a very close win against Wenden Riley, 152-149.
By all accounts this was a great game of bowls to watch from the spectators view.
There was no brotherly love shown when Shaun Marchant wheeled his younger brother (the reigning A-grade champ) Dylan Marchant, in another close game, 152-146.
Apparently Shauny boy handled the strong wind better than Dylan. Andrew Townsend 137 defeated Jo Raines (failed to complete game) 115.
