This match was played between Maxine Elsom and David Duffy. This game was always going to be an evenly matched contest with both bowlers having a handicap of six, so it was going to come down to who happened to play the best on the day.

Maxine had the early lead 6-2 after six ends when Duffy clicked into gear in winning five of the next six ends and hit the lead 13-8.

As Elsom hit a bit of a slump Duffy stretched the lead out to 19-11 after 19 ends. Over the last eight ends Elsom gained 10 shots to Duffy’s six and actually hit the lead 20-19 on the 23rd end.

Duffy claimed three of the last four ends to run out the eventual winner of the much sort after B-grade singles title, 25-21, 14 ends to 13. Congratulations David Duffy.
